abortion

abortion – a “spontaneous abortion” is when an unborn child is spontaneously expelled during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and is also referred to as a “miscarriage.” An “induced abortion” is a deliberate act used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the unborn child.

active euthanasia

active euthanasia – the act of intentionally causing the death of a terminally or incurably ill or injured person, by direct action (active euthanasia) or through an omission such as withholding food and water (passive euthanasia). Euthanasia is sometimes called “aid-in-dying,” “mercy killing,” or “death with dignity.”
